Kalmen Reiss Inc Formerly Known as American Brush & Broom started in 1963 by Kalmen Reiss In Chicago IL and was selling Paint Brushes out of the Trunk of his Station Wagon at closeout prices
1965
1965 After moving to Brooklyn New York His son David Started helping his father as a temporary job and after his father was looking at retiring he took over the company which was then based on closeout paint good quality USA Paint brushes, After listening to customer demands he started adding items such as roller cover And partnering up with a local manufacturer and by then the company was offering all kind of Paint Sundries, And additional Janitorial items.
1994
1994 Finally out of the Basement into a garage with some warehouse space he was finally able to offer and stock more items for the Paint & Hardware Trade Buying its first delivery Van….
1998
1998 A full size warehouse of 2500 Sq feet and adding a delivery Truck
2008
2008 Kalmen Reiss Inc was out growing its Warehouse moving to a 5000 square Foot warehouse with more inventory and organized pick & pack systems in place,
2020
2020 after a transition to its 3rd generation Kalmen Reiss Inc is Growing and sticking to it’s original Values of Honesty & Competitive Prices, Kalmen Reiss is looking at a bright future with new lines of Hardware & Tools for the Trade of Builder and Do it Yourselfer’s.
